5. Server-Side Tracking
We use Google Tag Manager Server-Side to process tracking data on our own server before forwarding it to Google and Meta. This means:
- Tracking data passes through our server (sgtm.mesmerized.studio) first
- Conversions API (CAPI) sends conversion events from our server directly to Meta
- This improves data accuracy and privacy by reducing the amount of data exposed in the browser
- Server-side tracking only fires when you have granted marketing consent
6. Google Consent Mode v2
Our website implements Google Consent Mode v2. This means:
- Before you make a cookie choice, all non-essential tracking is blocked
- Four consent signals are managed:
ad_storage,analytics_storage,ad_user_data,ad_personalization - When you consent, only the categories you selected are activated
- You can change your preferences at any time by clicking "Cookie settings" in the footer
When consent is denied, Google may still receive cookieless pings to model conversions in Google Analytics 4. This does not set cookies on your device.
